Cursed images are an interesting subgenre of meme culture that dovetails with semiotic theory through the discomfort stemming from the recognition of the character (Kermit) depicted on what appears to be a prominent city billboard. This painting study requires a moment with the piece for the viewer to realize what they’re looking at and its intimate size is intended to cause further discomfort. Just for fun.
